Our Story

Est. in 2019 formally known as CrossFit Carmarthen Lawrence & Gabi Edwards opened their doors with their vision of making CrossFit accessible & enjoyable to the Carmarthen Community.
In 2022 they rebranded as Forge Health & Fitness where they continued to grow by appealing to all varieties of fitness enthusiasts in the Carmarthen area.
Their passion for fitness & commitment to their members has left a lasting mark on this establishment.

2024 sees Forge Health & Fitness under new ownership of Stacey John-Davis, Lisa-Marie Hassall & Harri Jones.
All 3 of which are long serving members of Forge collectively bringing a wealth of knowledge & experience from various sporting backgrounds.
Our aim is to make functional fitness accessible to all bringing an ethos of CrossFit, Weightlifting as well as Strength & Conditioning based training styles together, yet ensuring all of which are adaptable to all abilities no matter your fitness level or background.
Where community is at the heart of everything we do & no matter what your goals our community will support & encourage you every step of the way.
We continue to honour Lawrence & Gabi’ contributions and pledge to carry forward their spirit as we forge ahead into our new era.
We strive to continue a legacy of forging health, wellness, and a community within these walls.

Stacey John-Davis has been a member for 4years however her experience in the gym is just a small part of what Stacey has to offer at Forge.
Stacey is also a Semi-Professional footballer for Swansea City Women & has been at the club for 12years also having over 20years of knowledge within the sport. Stacey has also represented her country from U15’s through to U19s in both Football & Hockey.
Stacey will play an integral part of Forge Health & Fitness, contributing to its growth and success. Her dedication and passion for fitness & understanding of how important Strength & Conditioning is within sport & youth will be vital to the future of Forge.

Lisa-Marie Hassall has been a member for 3 and half years.
Lisa, an avid sportswoman since the age of 11 Lisa-Marie has over 20years experience in various sports including West Wales Netball, Competitive Sea Rowing, Half Marathons & CrossFit however, these have taken a back seat in her training the last 4 years as her focus has turned to Strongwoman having become Wales Natural Strongest Women 3 years in a row since 2022.
Lisa’ other achievements also include Britain’s 3rd Natural strongest woman 2021, Europes 2nd strongest woman 2021 & currently a Guinness world holder for pulling a lorry.
Lisa-Marie is keen to bring her commitment and energy into the gym to support it’s members to become the healthiest & happiest versions of themselves.
Lisa-Marie is looking forward to supporting an inclusive, safe, and progressive community within the gym.

Harri Jones is one of the longest standing members having completed his onramp course in 2019. Since then Harri has become an integral part of the gym as a member and within the last year has progressed into becoming a coach at Forge.
He has a background in running as well as competitive CrossFit & Weightlifting recently competing for Leeds university at the British university weightlifting championships in 2023.
Harri Currently holds his Level 1 British weightlifting & is working towards his Level 2.
Harri may be early on within his coaching career but is & continues to be methodical in his research and application to his coaching practices & programming.
His eye to details & ability to coach a wide variety of individuals & adapt sessions to meet each of their needs is one of his greatest attributes as a coach.
Harri is looking to continue working with current & new members utilising numerous Health & Fitness methodologies to create sustainable and achievable changes.
